This 4-day tour package is a perfect combination of cultural explorations and natural excursions. Starting from the charming capital Hanoi, take your chance to visit around the Old Quarter and enjoy a cultural water pupet show to know more about the culture and Hanoi people. Heading to Ninh Binh, you will enjoy a scenic rowing boat trip in Tam Coc before admiring the incredible scenery of limestone karst formations in Halong Bay on a day-ship cruise. Enjoy your time in the bay with seafood lunch, kayaking, and swimming. This itinerary is perfect for a short trip in Northern Vietnam.

Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Upon your arrival at Noi Bai – Hanoi International Airport, our tour guide will be holding a welcome signboard with your name outside the baggage claim area and escort you to Hanoi downtown with a brief introduction en route. Check in hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi - Ninh Binh
08h00, pick up at your hotel and head out for Ninh Binh (2 hours driving). There is a beautiful roadside scenery on the way. Arriving in Ninh Binh city, first pay a visit to Hoa Lu – the ancient Royal Capital of Vietnam, visit the two temples: Temple of King Dinh and King Le, admire the unique architecture from ancient times.

Continue to Tam Coc and have lunch at a nice restaurant with many local delicacies. Then boarding a small sampan to visit Tam Coc which means literally “three caves” (2.5 hour boat trip). With Halong bay type views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious caves, as well as countryside landscape like peaceful streams, rice paddies and deserted green fields, Tam Coc really has it all. You will feel the fresh air and peaceful moments, a very good opportunities for photo lovers, freezing the special moments and scenery.

We also cycle to Bich Dong pagoda nearby and climb up the mountain to have a wonderful perspective view of the Bich Dong and Tam Coc. Return to Hanoi late afternoon.

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay
Breakfast at hotel and then start a 3-hour drive by shuttle bus through the Red River Delta to Ha Long Bay.

11h45: Arrive at Tuan Chau Harbor, welcome aboard, and safety briefing. Start the 6-hour journey to explore Halong Bay, passing through thousands of limestone islets, including Cock Fighting and Thumb, while enjoying mouth-watering Vietnamese lunch on the boat.

13h45: Arrive at Bo Hon archipelago, A tour guide will escort you to visit Surprising (Sung Sot) Cave to see a lot of stalagmites and stalactites with different shapes of rock formation, then go kayaking or bamboo boat rowing in Luon Cave to discover a beautiful lagoon.

15h30: Visit Titov Island, relax on the sandy beach, or climb up to Titov Island peak for a panoramic view of the Bay.

16h30: Returning to the ship for a Sunset Party, enjoying coffe, tea, fruits and Vietnam Traditional Music as the ship cruises back to Tuan Chau Harbor. There is a lot of time for sunbathing on the upper deck with music and enjoying the great fun of group touring fellows among the world’s iconic natural scenery.

18h00: Disembarking and getting on the bus to Hanoi with a short break along the way.

20h30 – 21h00: Tour guide will bid you farewell at your hotel.

Day 4: Hanoi City tour - cooking class and departure
After breakfast, out tour guide will meet you again for morning city tour. The places to visit are flexible and upon your interests.
Some suggestions:
– Visit Old Quarter area on Cyclo (Xich-Lo)
– Visit the Ba Dinh Square Complex with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum (The Mausoleum is closed on Monday and Friday and from Oct. – Nov.), The One Pillar Pagoda – one of the Symbols of Hanoi
– Visit the beautiful Temple of Literature
We then join a cooking class to see how to cook the traditional Vietnamese foods as well as enjoy special dishes
Free in the afternoon and you are free ultil our pickup and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
